Guest Review: Moonlight on the Magic Flute

My daughter enjoyed writing her last review so much that she’s back with a new one–thanks for sharing, Lucie!

Moonlight on the Magic Flute was a great book.  It’s by Mary Pope Osborne, who writes the Magic Treehouse series, and it is number 41 in this series.  It talks about a boy and a girl, Jack and Annie, who discovered a magic treehouse which could bring them wherever they want, when they want, in time and places in the world.  This book made them travel through time to the summer palace in Austria, in the year 1762.  They had to help a brilliant artist find the right path to share his gifts to the world.  In the summer palace, they met Wolfie and Nan, but Wolfie ran away in the palace garden. He had delivered all the animals from the zoo to the palace garden, and he was stuck in a tree, because if he came down, the leopard would attack him! But, Teddy and Kathleen, who were their friends, and knew the magic treehouse was there before them, had given them a magic flute that worked when they were really in danger. They had found Wolfie and delivered him with the magic flute and made all the animals go home. Then, they figured out that Wolfie was really Mozart, and that he had stopped liking music.  But, when they played the magic flute, it made him love music again, and he could share his wonderful music with the world.
