The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.
I’ve been meaning to participate in Kimba’s Sunday Post for a few weeks now, so here I am. This week has been a slow one on the blog as I’ve been a bit preoccupied with real life and, ironically, reading–specifically, my obsession with the Russ Van Alstyne/Clare Fergusson series of mysteries by Julia Spencer-Fleming. I received the fourth one, To Darkness and to Death, as a prize from a mini-challenge I completed during Dewey’s Readathon. Since then, I’ve downloaded numbers five and six and my poor Kindle hasn’t had a moment’s rest. I think by the time I finish the latest one I will just have to sit down and cry that there aren’t any more. Yet. I LOVE these books.
So, other than non-stop reading, what’s new this week? Well, I got a few new books. From the library, I borrowed Major Pettigrew’s Last Stand by Helen Simonson, which I’ve been wanting to read for a while (and I love the cover). I also purchased Suddenly by Barbara Delinsky for my Kindle, as it was on sale on Amazon this week. I’ve read several Delinsky novels and I like her writing style, which reminds me a bit of Nora Roberts.
What’s new with you this week?
