The Sunday Post – Issue #5

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

I’ve decided to start numbering these Sunday Post posts to differentiate between them, so issue #5 means this is the fifth time I’ve participated.

This week I thought I’d share the books I’ve collected over the past three weeks as I’ve been on vacation in the U.S. and taking full advantage of having easy access to English books!  I have tried to be good and not spend too much money, but I’ve nevertheless managed to amass a collection of 13 books that I’ll be taking home that I didn’t have on the way over.  Not too bad, right? (Humor me–we’ll see how bad it really is when I weigh my luggage!).

I Went to the U.S. on Vacation, and All I Brought Back Was:

Bought for the Kindle –

Wicked Intentions by Elizabeth Hoyt

Alpha and Omega by Patricia Briggs

City of Bones by Cassandra Clare

Bought paper copies –

Faefever by Karen Marie Moning

Dreamfever by Karen Marie Moning

Taft by Ann Patchett

When the Emperor Was Divine by Julie Otsuka

The Midwife of the Blue Ridge by Christine Blevins

The Magicians by Lev Grossman

The Lacuna by Barbara Kingsolver

Won or given to me –

The Turning of Ann Merrick by Christine Blevins (And a fabulous giveaway prize box!!!  Post on that next week.)

The Art of Fielding by Chad Harbach

The Happiness Project by Gretchen Rubin

So that’s it.  Not too bad, right?  Right? 🙂  Now if I can just stay out of the bookstore until we leave on Tuesday, I might be able to get my suitcase past customs without being accused of being a book smuggler.  And that’s not taking into account the books my husband and kids have gotten since we’ve been here–best not to mention those!

Have a great week, all.
