Out of Africa is BEAUTIFUL, & I’ve heard great things about Jellicoe Road. Best wishes to you with this list. 🙂

Marquez! McCarthy! Great choices, although I haven’t read either one of those specific books. Ha. I’ve always wanted to read A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, but it just hasn’t happened yet. I finally read my first Roald Dahl book this year…. I’m in my middle-thrities and just now reading Dahl? Lol Good luck! I’m excited to see your progress.

I like this idea, how did you choose this list? These books? I’d like to challenge myself to read some of my older books. Like the very oldest one I have on my Goodreads list…LOL! Good luck

I actually just went through my physical book shelves and picked out ones I hadn’t read yet. If I started on the Goodreads list I would be in real trouble…since it’s about 500 books long at the moment! Good idea, though.

Some great books on your list! I loved A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, and The Moonflower Vine and The Group are good also.

I haven’t read Love in the Time of Cholera since college. It might be time to revisit that one with my adult perspective! Great list of books. Enjoy.

I started A Tree Grows in Brooklyn this year and really liked what I read – I put it down after I just couldn’t find the time to read it. I’ll have to get back to it next year. Good luck!

I read Out of Africa for a CCspin – it was a struggle, sad to say. The movie was MUCH better (ie it had a narrative!!)

Good luck with the rest 🙂
